Hi, I feel that I am having pressure over my chest and heart even my stomach. It is very strong that I feel some pain as I want to die, as someone pressing on them, I feel hard time breathing, I get some anestathia in my face, hands,legs, neck and back. it starts with my lips sometimes. I feel my mind can’t stop thinking and i don’t even know what i am thinking I feel there are million thoughts going through my mind, I can hardly erase them. I have hard hard hard time sleeping as thining I might not wake up. I get tears before sleep and worried all the time. I feel dizzy 24 hours as I am on the ship, there is no balance, I have fear to go out or to sit with people. I have fear to hang the phone , I feel I might have missing words or stuttering, I can’t focus on my speach. I forget things so quick, I feel I am not breathing, my heart is not beating although it is beating. I break my nails sometimes, I have weakness in my legs and hands, I have hard time readin and focusing over what people are saying. I forget the words and the people around me look at me as what’s wrong with you, do you forget your language. i feel sad over that. I feel me is not me. I feel I am in a strange world, I feel people can’t understand what do I feel, They look at me as they are not understanding how bad do I feel as I am dying. I have hard time breathing specially when I enter the car or wearing very tight clothes, I feel nurverse. I have got panic attack and felt 100 % dead, I started screaming and acting like a crazy and I threw up. I have fear to take medicines I think they might kill me or leave side effects. I get worried when my parents leave home, I feel I might face the panic attack. please tell me do you feel the same as me. I want the person who had experience anxiety is the one who answer me please. and tell me do you feel what do I feel. or tell me what exactly do you feel while you are suffering from anxiety. please share some ideas how to go over anxiety and to be cured. and tell me from what you got anxiety. well for me I faced death in my life m then turn back to life after he surgery , so i feel worry so much about death.

by the way I am suffering from low pressure since I got anxiety , is that normal?

I feel I am fainting and going to pass away, do you feel the same?

I get headache and so much stings as electricity in my body, making me crazy.

PostHeaderIcon I smoke a lot of shisha/hookah, does this affect my anxiety disorder?

I smoke it daily, and afterwards i feel great, relaxed… ALMOST the same as i did before my anxiety disorder… but does this have any negative effects on the anxiety itself? would it be cured quicker if i stopped?

well if it makes you feel great and relaxed…that’s good if you have anxiety. But the tobacco could somehow effect your disorder somehow. Use soex shisha

I’m 20 years old and i suffer from hypochondria and frequent panic attacks. I’ve always been somewhat of a hypochondriac, but once my panic attacks started a few months ago I have been convinced that this is the start of some severe heart disorder leading to my death. It sounds very dramatic and even makes me laugh when I think about it from another view, but it doesn’t give me peace or reassurance. The only thing that settles the anxiety is being told by a medical professional that nothing is going to happen to me.

I have a doctor, but I don’t want to waste money going to appointments every week. Is there someone that could just email me quick advice or help me out when it’s not serious enough for me to go to the hospital? I really don’t see another cure.

You know, I have that problem too. And knowing that there were others out there who had problem made me feel better.

But the thing is, it IS a problem. You cannot keep telling yourself that it is okay to live with this exaggerated form of anxiety. And like you, the medical professional was also the only thing that would calm my nerves. So this is what I want you to do:

1 - Go to your doctor for one last visit about this particular problem (you keep going for annual physicals of course)
2 - Get a physical and blood test done
3 - Your doctor will tell you that there is nothing wrong
4 - You will officially tell yourself that if all that nonsense you were thinking was true, all those diseases and problems you conjured up on your body were real, the physical and blood test would obviously show it
5 - Whenever that little bit of anxiety starts to rise, remind yourself of this, and also that if you were suffering from cancers and everything, your sure as hell would know because there are symptoms.
6 - Tell yourself that you are lucky to be living in this modern day and age where technology has allowed us to have advance treatments where if anything WAS wrong, you would be able to have positive prognosis, unlike living just 15 to 20 years ago, where it was a dim place. And tell yourself that over the past 5 years there have been exponential research and findings in medicine, and in the next 5 years it will continue. Scientists working with computers and machinery are close to finding very good cures for diseases.
6 - Finally, hang out with your friends! Have fun! Tell yourself to enjoy life. Add a little humor and love to your life. Tell yourself: I could also get hit by a car, but the chances of that are about as high as my chances of getting all these diseases I keep thinking of!

Let me know if you have any other problems with this! And remember, if things do not get better even after these steps, you should consult a psychologist, because it may be serious than you think, and those guys can certainly help a lot! :)

About a year ago, I started on 200 mg of Zoloft for anxiety and ocd. It didn’t seem to work, but about 2 months later, it was just about cured. 2 months ago I slipped my zoloft down to 100mg, and the past few days my anxiety feels pretty bad…… could it really take this long for the medicine to get into and out of my system?

Zoloft is used to stabilize and equalize the hormone levels in your brain.

Typically, your dosages are raised slowly until you find the level that works best for your situation.

I’m not sure why you lessened your dosage, but that may not have been the best idea. Zoloft is there to make things better, not "cure" the problem. I would discuss getting back up to the 200mg with your doctor.

PostHeaderIcon Anyone know a quick way to cure anxiety attacks?

I didn’t use to get them, but it’s coming up on finals, and I have an insane amount of work, and can’t afford to get less than an A on any of it. Every time I need to focus, and get a lot done, I get into this state where I start freaking out, I can’t concentrate, I keep starting one thing and the dropping it and rushing to start another, then I panic, can’t do anything, start just shivering, and want to give up and run away. Yesterday I started crying in my voice lesson for no good reason; it was embarrassing, and I don’t know what to do. Once I get into this state I can’t get anything done and that just wastes more time; the only thing I know to do is go to sleep for at least an hour, which is easy since I’m always behind on sleep, but I need a more practical way of dealing with it. And by the way, I’m not usually an emotional person. Thanks to anyone who helps!

Here’s the deal…

Finals will mean absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. Nothing! Period! My suggestions is that you sit down, take the test and tell yourself that this will have absolutely no impact whatsoever regardless of what I or others believe.

Now, whether it’s true or not, that means nothing to you…just take the silly thing and get out of there. You know what you know and you can only cram so much of that crap into your head before you start being counter-productive.

How long is the quickest someone can get out of it? has anyone suffered from it here and are cured now?

almost everyone feels depressed at some point but doing nothing won’t help. It will just keep you that way forever! I had alot of depression and I ended up taking a low dose of Zoloft, which helped a little but medication alone wont help. What helped me was my own determination to make it better. I decided to ‘fake it to you feel it." In other words- fake being happy. When you act happy people respond better to you and you have more fun and eventually you actually are happy. Sounds shallow but moping around won’t do any good, I know from experience. I also became a huge joiner and despite being really shy I made myself do a bunch of things. Joined clubs, took lessons I even forcem myself to take public speaking classes. It was terrible at first but I eventually got better!!… It took years, its not easy but only your own determination can pull you out of it. You have too see the beauty in your self and focus on that!

A few months ago I was seeing this guy my mother worked with, John. My mother had hooked us up because she thought he was a really nice guy and they were very good friends. Anyway a week after seeing him I found out he had a girlfriend. I happened to personally know his girlfriend so I thought it would be best if I told her and I stopped talking to him (wouldn’t you want to know if your boyfriend was cheating on you?) So I texted her and she flipped out on me, and then he called me and flipped. I let it go and went to my best friends and a few hours later John called me asking me if we could talk about things. He told me he really liked me and that him and Kayla were officially done and that he was wrong for not breaking up with her, so I said "fine, i’ll talk to you but not for too long because I can’t be gone too long" so he came and picked me up from my best friends and he said that he had to do an erin real quick and I said alright but make it quick. so he drove me up to this apartment complex (river raisen, monroe michigan) and he told me his friends wanted to hangout with us and I said that I really couldn’t go inside because I couldn’t be gone too long from Sarah’s. and he said fine. a few minutes later my side of the car door opens. i look up and this girl grabs me by my hair and pulls me out of the car. when i’m out, John drives away. The girl ripped off the hood of my jacket and starts beating me. This black male (in his 20’s-30’s about 6′0) jumps in and knocks me to the cement. i’m face down onto the cement and he over and over again kick’s the back of my head (smashing my face) into the cement while John’s girlfriend is watching and spitting on me. The other girl was spitting on me too. I begged them to stop. I thought they were going to kill me. after they stopped and I had the strength to get up I ran to the nearest open place I could find (which happened to be a nursing home) the lady was really sweet and she called the police and I was rushed to the emergency room. ever since i’ve been afraid for my life. I’m too afraid to go out with my friends because I think they are setting me up. I’ve been having anxiety attacks. I knew bad things happened, but I never knew that people allowed bad things to happen… the police had made no effort to catch the two people that beat me. nor have they spoken with Kayla (john’s girlfriend, and the accomplice). I have heard from several of Kayla and John’s x-friends that they had payed these people to jump me. So far all I can do is press charges on John. I don’t feel like I got the justice I deserved. What can I do? How can I get that justice I deserved? Any tips? and how much trouble can they get in for this?

I am 16 years old and i’m tiny. I didn’t stand a chance. I felt helpless and I felt like they were going to beat me to death. I begged them to stop. here are photo’s of me the day after:

AND PARENTS; please tell your kids about what happened to me. A guy that me and my family trusted with everything set me up to get jumped by a man, and a girl. I could of been killed with the way they beat me. Nothing can ever cure the emotional pain i’ve been in. Tell your kid’s not to trust everyone and to make smart decisions because clearly I didn’t and I was stupid to of trusted him. I don’t want anyone to have to go through what I did.

maybe you should do some stuff like self defense and try to build up your confidence to not be scared and carry around a weapon such as a stun gun in these cases

Let me say first off that I do have a Dr appt scheduled but its a month off and the ER will just do the quickest thing to get me in and out which is anxiety meds.. They thinks its the cure to everything.. So here is whats going on.
I have had stomach issues all my life. There is no record of surgery, but I had the scar and the witnesses. I have had many tests run with no clear cut answer. Dont eat this, take more of that. Nothing works. My bowels give me the most issues and its very painful. Recently I have developed pain under my right rib. Sharp jabs almost near the top center. Glabladder? Intestines? Blockage due to bowel issues? I dont know. Well, the weirdest thing..I have developed little pin prick dots of blood just below the surface. I can rub/scratch them away and they fill back up. They are not raised, just little dots. I had 1 about 6 months ago..now I have 6 randomly scattered from my lower abdomen to my chest. no scabs, no pain, just little dots of blood. It has me concerned. Can anyone give me any input as to what could be going on? Thanks.
They arent warty..no difference in the feeling of my skin except htat it looks like I took a needle and pricked myself. The blood never comes through the surface but you can scratch at it and it goes faint but then fills up brighter red. They are always there, never bigger, dont move, dont go away..just more are developing. Just tiny red spots. No itching. The stomach pains are getting worse though. Usually I can deal with it but not being regular has really taken its toll on me. Im naseated after almost every meal, im tired all the time. I know I have a low white cell blood count but they ruled out anemia a few years ago. I really just want some idea so when i go into the Dr I can give them a hint as military doctors never do more than necessary and they never dig too deep. Thanks.
No, Im constipated all the time. I go maybe once a week if Im lucky. Sometimes I will go two days in a row but thats rare and only if I drink a lot of coffee. I have painful gas and bowel movements. A friend who is a medic suggested Diverticulitis? Ive researched and it sounds like that, but the red spots are still mysterious to me.
I think you hit it on the head with : petechiae.

If anyone has any experience with what causes these (disease wise), let me know. Should I seek help before my Dr appt?

The red dots sound like they might be pettichia. Which are little spots of blood from broken vessles underneath the skin. As for your symptoms, do you have frequent bouts of diarhea? Cramping? If so, you may have Colitis. My husband has Colitis. It was so bad at times that we couldn’t really go far from the house, knowing he would have to use the bathroom at literally a moments notice.
Then, I found Acidopholus at the health food store. There are many kinds of Acidopholus, so you need to get the one that is refrigerated. Ask for assistance. Do not buy it at the pharmacy or the grocery store, as their Acidopholus is pretty useless. Anyway, take this up to 3 times a day. If you have Colitis, you should notice a difference within a day. If it turns out you do not have Coititis, the Acidolpholus will not harm you as it actually restores the normal balance of bacteria that belongs in your colon.
Try that until you get to your doctor. Also, take a picture of the red dots, so that you have it to take with you to your appt. Also, keep a diary of your daily symptoms,as well as your food intake. This will help you dr. get to the real issue much quicker.
