PostHeaderIcon Hallo everyone! Why is it that after each shave, I end up with rash on my side cheeks and some hard boils?

The rash disappears within 2 or 3 days, but the boils have remained and appear to be increasing. I’m almost having a phobia for shaving now, but as a travelling salesman I need to be tip top.

Martin, hi! You are my new boyfriend’s namesake. How’s that for starters?

Yes, I asked a medic-friend of mine about your problem and he said you need to first of all check your razor-hygiene very well whilst he also advised that you use warm water to wash-off after each shave before even using your aftershave. For maximum results, he advised you use a new Gillette razor blade for each shave and always bathe with cleansers and mild/strong antiseptic soaps like Skinguard, Medicare, Asepso, Tetmosol and Roberts.

On the intractable ”hard boils”…beginning to sound like the outbreak of pimples / acne. I’m not really sure now, but I advise that you immediately start to reduce your consumption of oils, fats and greasy foods. For external cure, you can use any genuine benzyl peroxide creams & ointments to treat the ”boils” (as you call it) and specific oral antibiotics. You can get recommendations from your local doctor.

If, however, the ”hard boils” still persist, please find time out of your busy schedule to see your dermatologist. Tip Top wishes & goodluck to you.

are you using a shave mousse? if so then u should try another brand coz maybe it is an allergic reaction..

if not, then maybe it is caused by the bacteria accumulated in the blades of your shave. You should clean your shave and get rid of hair stuck in between the blades. boil it if possible to sterilize the blades.

regarding with your boils, wash your face with antibacterial facial wash every night with warm water and apply any antibacterial ointments before going to bed :)

I KNOW it sounds weird, but use a product called Bikini Zone…it prevents red bumps and ingrown hairs (the boils you were talking about).
also, use an astringent at night (olay or neutrogena)…if the symptoms persist, talk to a dermatologist…
    good luck
