*NEWS FLASH* "Mayweather-Pacquiao megafight off as of now" -Bob Arum?

Bob Arum apparently has enough of Mayweather’s demands and now it seems that Arum is willingly going to cancel the biggest fight in recent history over Pacquiao having a "phobia" over needles. This is really disappointing and a big bummer. It’s not even a matter of arguing whose the better fighter now…both fighters have contributed to this drama. Both sides are making claims/statements that make me nod my head in disagreement and embarrassment. Now, its not the end of the world, and this fight could very well be up and set by this week, but after all the hype that has been building up, should the fight be absolutely canceled…it’ll be a huge blow to boxing and to us, the faithful fans of the sweet science. Shame on all of them.

I’m sure this is just a ploy to bring more attention to the fight. I expect this fight to still go ahead

It’s funny how Manny has been making everybody he face abide by his demands and now that he’s looking eye to eye with a guy on his level of fame, he can’t handle it.

I hope Bob Arum is just letting off some steam, and both camps will cool down and resume negotiations. It’s probably true that Floyd is the one dictating the negotiations about things like weight, glove size, etc. but the drug testing demand seems reasonable to me. I hope they won’t cancel the fight over this.

No, it’s not phobia of needles… cuz he agreed to take blood-tests…the issue here is the timing or set dates of the blood-tests….Pacquiao is willing to take the blood-tests the day of the press conference and after the fight (sounds fair to me…) while Mayweather camp wants it a day (24-48 hrs.) before the fight….there is no difference between testing before and after the fight…the Mayweather camp is just insisting….
Anyways, we’d all look like fools if we don’t let this fight happen…

I think its just all publicity,and more drama,which they dont need because just these 2 fighters really dont need the pub.but this is the fight thats gonna be talked about for a long long time and put boxing once again on top of the sports world(but was always on top in my book)and also maybe end either or both careers as for retireing.Well I would if i was getting payed that much for 1 fight.

Why should Pacquiao have to agree to something other than the norm? Especially when it comes to taking blood out of his body directly before a big fight!
Would it necessarily affect his performance? Probably not. But if he THINKS it will hurt him, than it will!
They can test with urine whenever they want and do blood after the fight if they want. I think the fight will happen still.
